Title: Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh to apply for a grant, execute relevant agreements with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, to receive five hundred and forty-nine thousand dollars ($549,000) in relevant grant funds, to design and construct the S Braddock Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project for the amount not to exceed seven hundred and twenty-four thousand, one hundred and sixty-four dollars ($724,164). In the event the grant is awarded to the City of Pittsburgh, the 2017 Capital Budget would provide the remaining one hundred and seventy-five thousand, one hundred and sixty-four dollars ($175,164).

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to apply for a grant and execute relevant agreements with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in order to receive an award of five hundred and forty-nine thousand dollars ($549,000) for the S Braddock Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project. In the event the grant is awarded, the Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into an account the Grants Trust Fund: 1129400177.45505.00

Section 2. The Mayor and the Director of City Planning of the City of Pittsburgh are further authorized, in the event that said grant agreement is awarded to the City of Pittsburgh to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts, in a form approved by the City Solicitor and not to exceed five hundred and forty-nine thousand dollars ($549,000) for the S Braddock Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project in the City under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
