Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of Finance to enter, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, into a lease agreement or agreements with Murray American Transportation, Inc. in order that it may utilize along the Ohio River near the West End Bridge designated as Block and Lot 7-P-200, for the purposes of mooring and unloading boats, barges, and other watercraft.

WHEREAS, the CITY owns a three foot (3 ft.) by seven hundred and seventy-six foot ( (676 ft.) strip of property along the Ohio River near the West End Bridge designated as Block and Lot 7-P-200 (the "Premises"); and
WHEREAS, in previous years the Premises were leased by the CITY to MURRAY's predecessor, Tri-River Marine, Inc., for the purposes of mooring and unloading boats, barges, and other watercraft from the Ohio River; and
WHEREAS, MURRAY desires to continue to use the Premises for the purposes of mooring and unloading boats, barges, and other watercraft from the Ohio River; and
WHEREAS, the CITY desires to permit MURRAY's continued use of the Premises for the benefit of the facilitating commerce in the City of Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to enter into this Lease Agreement for the purpose of granting MURRAY permission to continue using the Premises for the aforementioned purposes, subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Finance to enter, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, a lease agreement or agreement(s) with Murray American Transportation, Inc. in order that it may utilize along the Ohio River near the West End Bridge designated as Block and Lot 7-P-200, for the purposes of mooring and unloading boats, barges, and other watercraft. Rent is set at the sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1,800.00) per month.
