Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Cities of Service Inc. to receive $25,000 in grant contribution; two AmeriCorps VISTA members; and technical assistance and support from Cities of Service valued at $100,000.

WHEREAS, Cities of Service Inc. has approved a grant to the City of Pittsburgh for two staff positions, plus $25,000 in grant funding and technical assistance from Cities of Service.
WHEREAS, pursuant to said grant, the City’s Chief Resilience Officer will supervise the two fellow and oversee a community grant program in accordance with the City of Service Inc. provisions.
WHEREAS, the Chief Resiliency Officer will participate in the building of community based resilience efforts and management of two AmeriCorp VISTA members known as Resilience Corp Fellows.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Chief of Innovation and Performance are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with Cities of Service. for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars. These funds will be used to support the efforts of the Resilience Corp Fellows. The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the JDE account # 0329400166.48311.00
Section 2. The Chief of Innovation and Performance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the Cities of Service, Inc. outlined in Section 1 of this Resolution. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures shall not exceed $25,000 chargeable to and payable from the JDE# 0329400166.50000.00
