Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates Ms. Katie O'Malley, and congratulates her and the other exemplary individuals who were selected for the 40 Under 40 Awards; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, November 10th 2015 to be "Katie O'Malley Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh is home to a diverse array of young citizens from many different personal and professional backgrounds; and, 

 

WHEREAS, these young people contribute every day to the vitality and resurgence of the Pittsburgh region, many by working in important roles in local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and at many levels of local government; and,

 

WHEREAS, each year Pittsburgh Magazine recognizes 40 individuals in the Pittsburg region who are under 40 years of age and who contribute in stand out ways to the culture and vitality of our city in the 40 Under 40 Awards; and,

 

WHEREAS, Katie O’Malley, Assistant Communications Manager in the Office of Mayor William Peduto, has been honored for her amazing work promoting the City of Pittsburgh by being selected among this year’s award recipients; and,

 

WHEREAS, Katie exemplifies the personal and professional qualities that typify the winners of this prestigious award, which is a fitting way to commend and recognize the important role that Katie plays in the daily work of our great city; and,
