WHEREAS, Beltzhoover is a historic residential neighborhood in South Pittsburgh which is home to a diverse array of individuals and families, and to a large, close-knit community of senior citizens; and,
WHEREAS, Beltzhoover City Seniors is a local neighborhood organization which meets several times per week to encourage friendship and camaraderie among the senior residents of Beltzhoover; and,
WHEREAS, the Beltzhoover City Seniors meets at the McKinley Recreation Center to hold social events and foster community relationships important to the ongoing benefit and wellbeing of the local senior citizen population of Beltzhoover; and,
WHEREAS, the Beltzhoover City Seniors desires from time to time to hold Bingo games as a social function and organizational fundraiser; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Beltzhoover City Seniors as a civic and/or service organization within the context of the Pennsylvania Small Games of Chance Act, as amended.
