Resolution authorizing the Mayor, Director of the Department of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police, on the behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, to enter into a grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), for the purpose of receiving grant funds in the amount of two hundred and fifty thousand ($250,000.00) that will be used for Body Worn Camera Program Enhancement.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police, on the behalf of the City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of two hundred fifty thousand ($250,000.00). With this grant, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will enhance our existing BWC program. The grant agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund 2329400167.45703.00
Section 2. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police, on the behalf of the City of Pittsburgh are hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Body Worn Camera Grant, outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures, shall not exceed two hundred fifty thousand ($250,000.00) chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund 2329400167.50000.00.
