Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute relevant agreements to receive grant funding to support preliminary buildout of a Municipal/City ID, and further providing for an agreement and expenditures not to exceed  Forty Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000) dollars for this stated purpose.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Pittsburgh wishes to develop an ID with support and features to increase access and use of facilities, services, and amenities by children and adults, provide easier identity and residency verification with local law enforcement, increase transportation access, provide easy-entry access to financial institutions for unbanked individuals, and reinforce a culture of unity and welcome for all Pittsburgh residents; and

 

WHEREAS, the Hillman Foundation has graciously and generously offered to fund a feasibility study for this purpose; NOW THEREFORE

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor is authorized to execute relevant agreements with the Hillman Foundation in order to receive a grant award of Forty Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000) for the preliminary buildout of a Municipal/City ID.  Monies from the grant agreement shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund account 0229400163.48311.00.

 

Section 2.                     The Mayor is further authorized to enter into an Agreement, or Contract, or utilize existing Agreements or Contracts and not to exceed Forty Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000), for buildout of a Municipal/City ID under the terms of the agreement between the City and the Hillman Foundation. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures shall not exceed Forty Five Thousand Dollars ($45,000) dollars chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund account 0229400163.50000.00.
