Title: Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to enter into an agreement with PMAM Corporation for the purpose of performing alarm permitting, tracking, and billing services for the City of Pittsburgh. The City will incur no initial investment costs. PMAM will retain a fee as a percentage of the revenue collected in the following amounts: 12% of funds collected up to $550,000; 18% of funds between $550,000 and $750,000; and 21% of funds collected above $750,000. TITLE

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance to enter into an agreement with PMAM Corporation for the purpose of performing alarm permitting, tracking, and billing services for the City of Pittsburgh. BODY

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     

 

A.                     The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, are hereby authorized to enter into a Professional Services Agreement or Agreements with PMAM Corporation for the purpose of performing alarm permitting, tracking, and billing services for the City of Pittsburgh.  PMAM Corporation is authorized to retain as its fee the following amounts: 

 

1.                     12% of all funds collected up to $550,000 annually; and

2.                     18% of all funds collected between $550,000 and  $750,000 annually; and

3.                     21% of all funds collected over $750,000 annually.

 

These amounts will be based on both alarm permit fees and any other associated fines and fees collections handled by PMAM and/or the City.  Proceeds based on permit fees will be deposited into account 11101.130000.42.42389. Proceeds from false alarm penalties will be deposited into account 11101.130000.43.43177.

 

B.                     PMAM is further authorized to retain mailing expenses as set forth in the Professional Services Agreement.

 

C.                     The term of the Professional Services Agreement or Agreements shall be for three (3) years with two (2) additional two (2)-year options to extend subject to the mutual agreement of the parties. The Professional Service Agreement or Agreements shall further be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
