Resolution providing for the acceptance by the City of Pittsburgh from Floyd L. McCrea of certain property in the 26th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh for public purpose to become part of Riverview Park.

 

Body

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.                     The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Finance and the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh are authorized to accept a deed from Floyd L. McCrea conveying vacant land in the 26th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh to become part of Riverview Park.

 

The property is described as follows:

ALL THAT CERTAIN LOT or piece of ground situate in the 26th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as follows:

 

BEGINNING at a pin at the intersection of the center line of Portman Avenue, 40 feet wide and the center line of Wabana (formerly Wabash) Avenue, 40 feet wide; thence South 19º 19’ West along the center line of Portman Avenue 87.96 feet to a pin; thence South 67º 41’ East 161.75 feet to a pin on the line of the Gusky Plan; thence by the same North 19º 20’ East, 96.26 feet to a pin in the center line of Wabana Avenue; thence along said center line North 70º 36’ West, 127.10 feet to a point distant 34.42 feet easterly from the intersection of said center line with the center line of Portman Avenue; thence North 38º 24’30” East, 21.15 feet to a point on said dividing line between lot now or formerly of Sargle and lot of Isabella Nable; thence North 70º 36’ West along said Nable lot 20 feet to a point on the dividing line between said Nable lot and lot now or formerly of Ritchey; thence Sout  33º 37’30” West, 20.63 feet to the center line of Wabana Avenue; and thence along said center line North 70º 36’West, 16.24 feet to the center line of Portman Avenue at the  PLACE OF BEGINNING. 

 

Containing 10,203 square feet of area.

Being Tax Parcel Block 115-C, Lot 274.

BEING the same property conveyed to Floyd L. McCrea by deed from Floyd L. McCrea and Barbara A. McCrea, husband and wife, dated June 11, 2002 and recorded June 17, 2002 in Deed Book Volume 11375, page 30.

 

Section 2  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said conveyance shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:

A.                      ALL State and local transfer taxes, if any, shall be paid by the purchaser.

B.                      ALL proper closing charges shall be paid by the purchaser

 

Section 3  That any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Resolution is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Resolution.
