Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Mr. Devine for his passion for giving, dedication to his community, the children who he taught and mentored, the church to which he is devoted to and for the love and commitment he has for his family; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the week of July 13th, 2015, to be "Mr. Pat Devine Week" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Mr. Pat Devine  resides in Sheraden with his wife Diana of 56 years this past July 9, 2015 ; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Devine coached volleyball at Greenway while his children attended and has taught Science at Langley High School for several years while coaching volleyball at the High School; and,

 

WHEREAS, in addition to coaching volleyball, Mr. Devine helped coach Sheraden Baseball and Softball for many years and was active in Boy Scouts Pack and Troop 299 and served the community in many other capacities; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Devine is an active member in the community and in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served on church council and served as the Choir Director for numerous years; he was a member of the Ebony and Ivory Choir and served on Southwest Interfaith Ministries, which is now West End Community United Ministries (WECUM); and,

 

WHEREAS, Pat and Diana are at home enjoying their children Keith and John; and grandchildren Shawn, Bryant and Sarah, children of Keith and Susan; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,  that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Mr. Devine for his passion for giving, dedication to his community, the children who he taught and mentored, the church to which he is devoted to and for the love and commitment he has for his family; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare the week of July 13th, 2015, to be “Mr. Pat Devine Week” in the City of Pittsburgh.
