Title

Resolution vacating a portion of Centre Avenue right of way in the 3^rd Ward, Council District 6, City of Pittsburgh.

Body

WHEREAS, the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, owners of property fronting or abutting on the line of the portion of southerly line of the right of way of Centre Avenue, in the 3^rd Ward, 6^th Council District, have petitioned for the vacation of same;

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.                     That the City hereby vacates all that portion of right of way in the 3^rd Ward, City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, more particularly bounded and described as follows:

All that certain tract of ground situate in the Third (3^rd) Ward, City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania being an additional 1 foot, 2 inches of to be vacated from Centre Avenue  right of way (existing 112 foot right of way), for the URA Lower Hill Redevelopment Consolidation & Subdivision Plan as recorded in Plan Book Volume 281, page 137, being more particularly described to wit:

Beginning at a point on the northerly right of way line of said Centre Avenue, where the same is intersected by the dividing line of Parcel “3” and Parcel “A2” in said plan; thence by a line through the existing right of way of said Centre Avenue S 27º 29’ 59” E a distance of 1.18 feet to a point; thence through the same in a southwesterly direction by an arc of a circle curving to the right having a radius of 745.17 feet for an arc distance of 265.03 feet, a chord bearing of S 80º 41’ 15” W a chord distance of 263.63 feet to a point of tangency; thence through the same N 89º 07’ 25” W a distance of 988.79  982.05 feet to a point; thence still through the same N 00º 07’ 25”W a distance of 1.17 feet to a point on the existing right of way line of said Centre Avenue; thence along said right of way line S 89º 07’ 25” E a distance of 264.45  982.05 feet to a point of curvature; thence still along the same in a northeasterly direction by an arc of a circle curving to the left having a radius of 744.00 feet for an arc distance of 264.45 feet, a chord bearing of N 80º 41’ 38” E a chord distance of 263.06 feet to a point at the place of beginning.

Containing an area of 1,467 s. f. or 0.03368 acres.
