Resolution Authorizing the Mayor and Chief of Innovation and Performance to enter into a Fellowship Participation Agreement with Public Allies of Pittsburgh.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Public Allies operates a national fellowship program for the purpose of providing work experiences to young people from around the United States, to perform important community, recreational, planning and project management work for municipal agencies and for non-profit organizations; and

 

WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage one Public Allies Fellow (the “Fellowship”) to carry out such projects; and

 

WHEREAS, the total cost for the City to engage a Public Allies Fellow for a ten-month term is Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000).

 

WHEREAS, the length of the contract shall not exceed 3 years beginning September 2015 and ending June 2018

 

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Mayor and Director of Innovation and Performance are hereby authorized to enter into a Fellowship Participation Agreement with Public Allies of Pittsburgh at a cost not to exceed Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000), which shall be payable from the following account number: 11101.103000.53509 The Fellowship Participation Agreement shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
