• Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh celebrates the accomplishments of this year's LDI class and all past LDI classes, and does hereby declare Tuesday, June 9th 2015 to be "Leadership Development Initiative Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. is an independent nonprofit organization engaged in developing a diverse group of leaders to serve southwestern Pennsylvania; and,

WHEREAS, among other community services Leadership Pittsburgh organizes the annual Leadership Development Initiative, which is a 10 month educational and enriching program designed to develop the leadership skills of high-potential young professionals in the Pittsburgh region; and,

WHEREAS, the Leadership Development Initiative utilizes data-driven training models to tailor learning to the needs of today's organizations and provides access to knowledgeable experts who share their own personal and professional experiences; and,

WHEREAS, this year's LDI class is the 31^st annual cohort to graduate from the program, and includes 61 young leaders and professionals who will go on to make Pittsburgh an even more dynamic city than it is today;
