Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, does hereby convey our most profound and deepest sympathies to Barbara's loving and supportive husband, George, and their beautiful children, Michael, Elizabeth, Stephen and Joseph. On behalf of the People of Pittsburgh, we pray that Barbara's family receives God's grace and comfort during this time of great loss. We honor her memory, we thank her for her public service and we grieve with all who knew and loved Barbara Daly Danko; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh, to honor the memory of Allegheny County Council Member Barbara Daly Danko, will, at their legislative meeting on May 12th, 2015, pause for a moment of silence and to reflect upon and honor a life well lived. Thank you Barbara, we shall miss you.

WHEREAS, Barbara Daly Danko was a wife, a mother and a civic-minded citizen of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who worked tirelessly and lovingly for the good of her family, friends and neighbors; and,
 
WHEREAS, Barbara Daly Danko, served the people of the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County with distinction as their elected representative on the Allegheny County Council, as a Member and Chair of the 14th Ward Democratic Committee and as a member of the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee; and,
 
WHEREAS, Barbara Daly Danko, a resident of Pittsburgh's Regent Square and member of Saint Bede Parish, always found time to help, lead, organize and participate with her community in order to secure a better quality of life for all, support for those in need and provide a calm, clear and powerful voice that spoke truth to power; and,
 
WHEREAS, on May 6th, 2015, Barbara Daly Danko was lost to us all too soon and, as a community, we grieve with her family and honor her public service.
