• Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Council of the City of Pittsburgh thank STAC and AAJ for their continued support of the nation's law students; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby declares April 16, 2015, "STAC Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC) is an annual nationwide mock trial competition for current law students; and,

WHEREAS, STAC allows law students to practice their trial advocacy skills before members of the bar and bench; and,

WHEREAS, STAC aims to foster the relationships built between law students and professional attorneys throughout the country; and,

WHEREAS, STAC was started by the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the largest trial bar; and,

WHEREAS, this year, Robert Peirce & Associates, P.C. will be hosting the National Finals of the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy Project in the City of Pittsburgh; and,

WHEREAS, hosting this prestigious national competition in Pittsburgh is a true testament to the growing vibrancy and professional development of our City.
