Resolution amending Resolution 612 of 2014 to increase the amount of compensation for the City's Fellowship Participation Agreement with Code for America Labs, Inc. to Four Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars.

Whereas, pursuant to Resolution 612 of 2014, effective September 26, 2014, Council authorized the City to participation in Code For America Labs, Inc.'s (CFA's) 2015 Fellowship Program (the "Program"); and
Whereas, the total cost for the City to participate in the Program is Four Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars ($440,000.00); and
Whereas, the City was originally going to pay One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) of this total, with the balance to be paid directly to CFA from local foundations; and
Whereas, the Richard King Mellon Foundation has instead provided the City with direct grant funding of Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars ($340,000.00) to create a Regional Data Resource Center and to improve internal operations (the "Grant"); and
Whereas, pursuant to Resolution No. 17 of 2015, effective January 27, 2015, City Council authorized the City to enter into a grant agreement with Richard King Mellon Foundation for the receipt of these moneys and to make expenditures consistent with the Grant; and
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1.
Section 1 of Resolution 612 of 2014 is hereby amended as follows:
The Mayor, Chief of Innovation & Performance and the Director of Finance are hereby authorized to enter into a Fellowship Participation Agreement with Code for America Labs, Inc. at a cost not to exceed Four Hundred and Forty Thousand Dollars ($440,000.00), which shall be payable out of the following accounts:
$100,000.00: 0726739310.53509.00.
$340,000.00: 0229400142.50000.00.
The Fellowship Participation Agreement must be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
