WHEREAS, Jeremie and Angela Musyt of Westwood created and launched a new app for IPhones and IPads called AlphaMaze ; and,
WHEREAS, what began as a creative outlet after work and dinner for Jeremie, an art director and Angela, a teacher with Pittsburgh Public Schools, ended as an app which has cumulated over 4,000 downloads since it launched in July, 2014; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Musyt took about 8 months to get from their first idea to completion of their final product; working after their full-time jobs during the week and sometimes working full weekends putting in countless hours; and,
WHEREAS, the user begins by choosing one out of five characters with their own personality and humor, then the player directs the character through the maze lined with the letter A in attempt to get to the next letter of the alphabet, while being timed; and,
WHEREAS, Angela's Kindergarten class at Sunnyside Elementary think it's "pretty cool" that their teacher and her husband created an app and have played the game in class during free time and are so excited when they find the next letter; and,
WHEREAS, adults who have played state that it's fun, witty and frustrating all at the same time; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby congratulate Jeremie and Angela Musyt on their successful creation of their first software application; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, February 10, 2015, to be "Jeremie and Angela Musyt Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
