Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes the years of artistic works Mr. Jordan has invested in Pittsburgh and his dedication to the community and its cultural enrichment, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby declares Tuesday, February 10, 2015, to be "Patrick Jordan Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Mr. Patrick Jordan has made his mark as an actor, producer, and the founder and artistic director of Barebones Productions, a Pittsburgh-based theater company. Mr. Jordan has dedicated his life's work and company's mission to promoting the arts in the Pittsburgh community in addition to showcasing premiere works and attracting diverse talent to the city for the past 11 years, and;
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Jordan's has appeared in a number of films and television projects ranging from independent to major Hollywood films such as The Dark Knight Rises, Southpaw, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and She's Out of My League, and;
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Jordan was named The Post-Gazette's Performer of the Year in 2014 for the contribution to two plays by his own company, Barebones Productions, and was critically acclaimed for performances in several Pittsburgh-produced theatrical productions, local and national film, television and commercial projects, and recognized for accomplishments as a professional actor for over 15 years, and;
 
WHEREAS, Mr. Jordan, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, has also been leading workshops, spearheading public art projects, has appeared in speaking and teaching engagements locally and nationally and has worked internationally in India and Scotland, and;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby recognizes the years of artistic works Mr. Jordan has invested in Pittsburgh and his dedication to the community and its cultural enrichment, and;
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby declares Tuesday, February 10, 2015, to be "Patrick Jordan Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
