Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend the Eat'n Park Hospitality Group and numerous dedicated team members of the Banksville Eat'n Park; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Thursday, November 20, 2014 to be “Banksville Eat'n Park Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Banksville Eat'n Park restaurant has been located on Banksville Road for 58 years and has just completed the construction of the brand new restaurant that includes an increase of 19 parking spaces, 20 additional  seats, a pick-up window for takeout, private dining room and 53 new jobs; and,
 
WHEREAS, the new restaurant is equipped with environmentally friendly features, including energy efficient technology and appliances, sustainable materials and more natural lighting; and,  
 
WHEREAS,  in addition, the Banksville location includes artwork from Pittsburghers John McManus and Dino Guarino capturing the local Banksville area culture and city highlights; and,
 
WHEREAS, Eat'n Park is a member of the Eat'n Park Hospitality Group which was instrumental in overseeing the Banksville Eat'n Park project completion and there are many dedicated team members of the Banksville Eat'n Park who help to create a family friendly environment and a place for smiles; and,
 
WHEREAS, in addition to the completion of the new restaurant, we would like to congratulate Eat'n Park on the 60th Anniversary of their famous Strawberry Pie, which was created in 1954 by Claire Moore, who was the daughter of Eat'n Park's founder, Larry Hatch; and,
