WHEREAS, the Greenfield section of the City of Pittsburgh, located in the heart of city Council District 5, has long been a viable and energetic community whose residents are dedicated to an exceptional quality of life strengthened by community resources and committed volunteers; and,
WHEREAS, the Greenfield Baseball Association has been providing organized youth baseball for the children of Greenfield for 62 years , and this year, the GBA will sponsor the 29th Annual Awards Dinner in conjunction with the Greenfield Community Association to recognize the committed citizens of Greenfield who have strived tirelessly to make their neighborhood a better place to live ; and,
WHEREAS, the 29th Annual Awards Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 and will honor the following dedicated citizens of Greenfield :

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the critical role that the GBA and GCA has played in the community, commends those volunteers who have given unselfishly of their time and congratulates the honorees for their contributions to the Greenfield community; and,
