WHEREAS, Anthony Marmo is a Deputy Attorney General in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General's Western Region Child Predator Section; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Marmo has been with the Office of Attorney General since 2007 where he has practiced in both civil and criminal law; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Marmo has over 16 years of technology experience and is a certified forensic examiner; and,
WHEREAS, in his capacity as a prosecutor with the Office of Attorney General's Child Predator Section, Mr. Marmo concentrates in computer based offenses and crimes against children; and,
WHEREAS, the Child Predator Unit was formed in 2005 and expanded into the Child Predator Section in 2013 by Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane; and,
WHEREAS, the new Child Predator Section saw a 600% increase in arrests in its first year, almost half of which occurred in Western Pennsylvania; and,
WHEREAS, the Child Predator Section has executed a 100% conviction rate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize and honor the important work of Anthony Marmo and the Western Region's Child Predator Section, and congratulates him on his vital accomplishments; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, Oct. 21st 2014 to be "Anthony Marmo Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
