Title: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare October 1, 2014 to be “Cavey Day,” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, historically, Pittsburgh has been a place of innovation; some of America's greatest inventors were either born in this city or came here from other states or countries to fulfill their dream of making the world better place; and,
 
WHEREAS, InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, employs some 150 people, including regional sales offices in more than 60 cities in the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Korea, and Australia; and,
 
WHEREAS, InventHelp has more than 8,000 companies who have agreed to review ideas in confidence; and,
 
WHEREAS, Cavey, the InventHelp brand mascot, has been banging away with his hammer for over a decade now trying to turn a slab of rock into a new invention, and continues to be the company's trademark Neanderthal; and,
 
WHEREAS, InventHelp is a Pittsburgh company, headquartered in downtown Pittsburgh on Ninth Street; and,
 
WHEREAS, InventHelp also holds INPEX®, America's largest invention/new product trade show right here in Pittsburgh every June, which attracts hundreds of companies, inventors, and helps showcase Pittsburgh in a positive light and as a place of innovation; and,
 
WHEREAS, on October 1, InventHelp will celebrate its 30th anniversary.
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize InventHelp for its 30 years of innovative success across the world and in the City of Pittsburgh; and,
