Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the National League of Cities to accept grant funding in the amount of $200,000 and to enter into a Project Implementation Agreement or Agreements with Allies for Children and the Consumer Health Coalition for the purpose of implementing the Healthy Together initiative.

Body
WHEREAS, in April 2014, Mayor William Peduto launched the Live Well Pittsburgh initiative to improve the quality of life for residents across the City of Pittsburgh. As part of this initiative, Mayor William Peduto seeks to move the City to complete healthcare coverage for all children and youth residents; and

WHEREAS, to that end, the City of Pittsburgh (the "City"), in partnership with Allies for Children ("AFC"), the Consumer Health Coalition ("CHC"), and the Allegheny County Health Department submitted a plan entitled Healthy Together Pittsburgh to the National League of Cities ("NLC") in order to be considered for a grant that be used to further a goal of 50% child healthcare coverage within the City; and

WHEREAS, Based on this grant proposal, the City was selected by the NLC as one of eight cities to participate in the implementation phase of the Cities Expanding Health Access for Children and Families initiative; and

WHEREAS, as part of this selection, NLC is providing a Two Hundred Thousand dollar grant ($200,000.00) and technical support over the next 18 months to help the City and its partners implement Healthy Together outreach campaign to enroll children and families in Medicaid and Pennsylvania's Children's Health Insurance Program ("CHIP") the ("Project"); and

WHEREAS, the Healthy Together Project is based in the Mayor's Office and will be guided by a Leadership Team composed of City representatives as well as representatives from the Allegheny County Health Department, AFC, and CHC; and
