Resolution providing for the City of Pittsburgh to receive grant funding based on the filing of applications with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare for grants in connection with the Joint Jobs Initiative Program Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN).

Providing authorization for the City of Pittsburgh to enter into agreements authorized by the Joint Jobs Initiative Program Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN), as amended; Providing for required assurances; execution of payment vouchers and of
certification of authorized signatures; providing for contracts with various agencies/employers for services and programs related to training and employment for the Joint Jobs Initiative Program Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN)' and providing for the deposit of funds into a bank account.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the City of Pittsburgh are hereby authorized to receive grants based on the filing of applications in the form required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in connection with the Joint Jobs Initiative Program Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN); in order for grants to be made in connection with the Joint Jobs Initiative Program Employment Advancement and Retention Network (EARN).

Section 2. In the event that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare should approve said applications through a grant to the City of Pittsburgh for contracts in connection therewith, the Mayor and the City of Pittsburgh, on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to execute said contracts. Said contracts shall be in a form approved by the City Solicitor and shall contain such terms and conditions as said Solicitor may require.
