Resolution amending Resolution 352 of 2012 and Resolution 310 of 2013 to authorize and direct the City Controller to forward Twelve Thousand, Six Hundred Dollars and Fifty Cents ($12,600.50) in unused Love Your Block grant monies provided to the City by The Home Depot Foundation to Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, Inc. for use for the Sustainable Home Improvement Partnership initiative.

Whereas, in 2012, the City received One Hundred and Thirty Thousand Dollars ($130,000.00) from The Home Depot Foundation for the purpose of expanding the City's Love Your Block initiative through the provision of mini-grants to qualifying groups and to cover certain administrative costs; and

Whereas, a portion of the administrative costs were designated to cover the cost-share living allowance for one AmeriCorps VISTA member working on the Love Your Block initiative pursuant to Amendment No. 1 to the City's Agreement with the Corporation for National and Community Service (“CNCS”); and

Whereas, CNCS decided not to invoice the City for these costs under Amendment No. 1, and these funds still remain unused; and

Whereas, The Home Depot Foundation has now requested in writing that the City transfer the remaining unused grant funds directly to Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh for the Sustainable Home Improvement Partnership (“SHIP”) initiative, which the City also facilitates.

Now therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1: Resolution 352 of 2012, effective June 6, 2012, is hereby amended to authorize the City to use only Nine Thousand Three Hundred Ninety Nine Dollars and Fifty Cents ($9,399.50) out of the original Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars ($22,000) allocated to administrative costs for the Love Your Block initiative.
