Title
Resolution providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area "GG" in the Central Lawrenceville community (Council Districts #7) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.
Body
WHEREAS, portions of the Central Lawrenceville community (Council District #7) have petitioned the City in accordance with the established procedures and the City Planning Department has undertaken a parking study which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.
 
WHEREAS, on January 7, 2014 the City Planning Commission was briefed on this resolution.
 
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.        As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled "Residential Parking Permit Program," a parking management plan is adopted as follows:
For the Area bounded by:  Bowery Way, from Geneva Street to Garden Way; Calvin Street, from 42nd Street to 44th Street; Garden Way, from Fisk Street to 44th Street; Garwood Way, from 42nd Street to 45th Street; Geneva Street, from Fisk Street to 44th Street; Keller Street, from 42nd Street to 44th Street; Main Street, from Geneva Street to Penn Avenue; Penn Avenue, from Fisk Street to 4115 Penn Avenue (odd number addresses only); Post Street, from Main Street to 44th Street; Siebert Street, from Main Street to 42nd Street; 42nd Street, from Geneva Street to Penn Avenue; and 44th Street, from Garwood Way to Penn Avenue (even number addresses only).
Motorized vehicles parking shall be restricted to an one (1) hour time limit between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and motor vehicles displaying a valid Area "GG" residential permit or visitor's pass and that residential parking permits be sold only to legal residents or a person who owns or leases commercial property and is actively engaged in a business on property fronting or abutting the above mentioned streets; and that visitor's pass usage shall be limited to no more than three  consecutive weekdays a month on the same vehicle.
