Title: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Honorable Robert E. Colville for his admirable and diverse career in the law, as well as his service to the City of Pittsburgh; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 to be “Judge Robert E. Colville Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the Amen Corner will be hosting its 54th Annual Judicial Reception on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, and has chosen to honor the Honorable Robert E. Colville as this year's recipient for the Lifetime Achievement Award; and,  
 
WHEREAS, the Honorable Robert E. Colville began his esteemed career as a patrolman and homicide detective for the Bureau of Police with the City of Pittsburgh, later serving as Chief of Police from 1971 to 1975; and,
 
WHEREAS, Judge Colville served as the Allegheny County District Attorney for over 21 years, developing a reputation for having one of the best organized and most effective DA offices in the Commonwealth; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Honorable Robert E. Colville's s judicial career began in 1998, where he was appointed a Senior Judge on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in 2006; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the Honorable Robert E. Colville for his admirable and diverse career in the law, as well as his service to the City of Pittsburgh; and,
