Resolution authorizing the City to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Project Grant, in the amount of $89,846.00.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Acting Chief of Police are hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, Highway Safety Project Grant, for the receipt of grant monies in the amount of eighty-nine thousand, eight hundred forty-six dollars and zero cents ($89,846.00). These funds will be used to fund sobriety checkpoints and expanded DUI enforcement operations. The City of Pittsburgh's local match is zero. The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into the Grants Trust Fund: JDE Job Number 2329400111.45505.00.
Section 2. The Acting Chief of Police, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation, outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures, shall not exceed eighty-nine thousand, eight hundred forty-six dollars and zero cents ($89,846.00) chargeable to and payable from the Grants Trust Fund: JDE Job Number 2329400111.50000.00.
