WHEREAS, On Saturday, August 24th at 11:00am Classic Events! will host a Youthpreneur Business Network Mixer at Hosanna House in Wilkinsburg; and
WHEREAS, Youthpreneur provides young people the opportunity to build their networking and entrepreneurial skills as they serve as vendors, promoting their business ideas and sharing strategies; and
WHEREAS, the small businesses that Youthpreneur will highlight are making a positive difference in our community, bringing vibrancy to the local economy by creating jobs and improving neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, we congratulate this year's Youthpreneurs, Javanna Brodt, Corey Brown, Andre Ellis, Zion Ellis, Javon O. Ford, Jessica N. Harvey, James Hayden, Jamair Henderson, Essence Howze, Shane Jones, Andre Scott, and Ralph P. Watson for their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to economic development in their communities; and
WHEREAS, the Youthpreneuer mixer is free and open to the public.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Youthpreneurs for starting business ventures that are having a positive and direct impact on our community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare August 5th to be "Youthpreneur Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
