Resolution authorizing the filing of an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for a $882,990 Penn Works grant for the Lawrenceville Technology Center site owned by RIDC Southwestern Pennsylvania Growth Fund.  (Council District 7)

Be It Resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.      The City of Pittsburgh is hereby authorized to file an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development ("DCED") for a $882,990 Penn Works grant (the "Grant") for the Lawrenceville Technology Center site owned by RIDC Southwestern Pennsylvania Growth Fund.

Section 2.      Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh ("URA") is hereby designated as the City's agent for administration of the Grant and is authorized to draw down funds directly from DCED if such is permitted by DCED.

Section 3.      The City of Pittsburgh does hereby designate the Mayor, and/or or the Acting Executive Director or Executive Director of URA, as the official(s) to execute all documents and agreements between the City, or URA as agent of the City, and DCED to facilitate and assist in obtaining the requested Grant.
