Title
Resolution providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area “HH” in the Central Northside community (Council Districts #1 and #6) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.

Body
WHEREAS, portions of the Central Northside community (Council District #1 and #6) have petitioned the City in accordance with the established procedures and the City Planning Department has undertaken a parking study which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.

WHEREAS, on May 14, 2013 the City Planning Commission voted to positively recommend this resolution with the suggestion of extending enforcement hours to Sundays as well.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled “Residential Parking Permit Program,” a parking management plan is adopted as follows:

For the Area bounded by: Sherman Avenue, from West North Avenue to Jacksonia Street; Veto Street from Eloise Street to Jacksonia Street; Arch Street, from West North Avenue to Jacksonia Street; Reddour Street, from Butterfield Way to Jacksonia Street; Federal Street North, from Sampsonia Street to Alpine Avenue (odd number addresses only); Jacksonia Street, from Arch Street to Federal Street North; Sampsonia Street, from Sherman Avenue to Federal Street North; Gentry Way, from Sherman Avenue to Arch Street; Brim Way, from Arch Street to Reddour Street; West North Avenue, from Sherman Avenue to Arch Street.

Motorized vehicle parking shall be restricted to a one (1) hour time limit between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and motor vehicles displaying a valid Area “HH” residential permit or visitor's pass; and that residential parking permits be sold only to legal residents or a person who owns or leases commercial pr...
