WHEREAS, Classic Events! is a public relations, marketing and networking group that hosts social events to bring together a variety of businesses and organizations with community stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, Ralph Watson, who founded Classic Events!, saw the need for an outlet for Pittsburgh small businesses to establish relationships with the community resources and figures that will enable them to thrive; and
WHERAS, Classic Events! bring awareness and exposure to cutting edge markets while connecting upstart entrepreneurs, small business leaders, and influential politicians; and
WHEREAS, on May 24 at Hosanna House in Wilkinsburg, Classic Events! will host the "Ladies Who Network" day; and
WHEREAS, the event will recognize Darieth Chrisholm, JoAnn Forrester, Lynne Hayes-Freeland, Cecelia Jenkins, Michelle Goodman, Marimba Milliones, Joanne Quinn-Smith, and Maryellen Sullivan for their extraordinary contributions to the City of Pittsburgh in their professional and personal lives.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Classic Events! for furthering the development of small businesses in the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare May 24, 2013 "Classic Events! Ladies Who Network Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
