WHEREAS, throughout the month of May, Allegheny General Hospital Auxiliary and the Allegheny General Hospital-Northside Leadership Conference Partnership co-sponsor Stranger Awareness programs; and
WHEREAS, the disappearance and murder of East Allegheny resident Scott Drake was the catalyst for the Stranger Awareness program on Pittsburgh's Northside; and
WHEREAS, in its twelfth year, students in Northside Elementary Schools (Allegheny Elementary School and Propel NORTHSIDE Elementary School) will receive two days of instruction from Perry High School, Brashear High School and Oliver City Wide Academy students focusing on the importance of Stranger Awareness on May 3 and May 10; and
WHEREAS, on Friday, May 17, 2013, the program will conclude with a performance for students by David Grover and the Big Bear Band; and
WHEREAS, the following individuals and organizations have offered support and partnered with this year's Stranger Awareness event:
