Resolution authorizing the Mayor, the Director of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police to enter into a grant agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to receive grant funds for the Impaired Motorcycle Education and Enforcement Grant. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts or expenditures shall not exceed $18,053.96.

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor, the Director of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police to enter into a grant agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to receive grant funds for the Impaired Motorcycle Education and Enforcement Grant. Funds received will be used to offset overtime hours worked by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police DUI Task Force, the South Hills DUI Task Force, and Mt. Lebanon DUI Task Force for impaired driving enforcement checkpoints with corresponding perimeter and roving patrols. Said grant agreement shall not exceed Eighteen Thousand Fifty-Three Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($18,053.96). The Grant Agreement shall be approved as to form and substance by the City Solicitor and monies shall be deposited into JDE Job Number 2329400100.4550500.00

Section 2. The Mayor, the Director of Public Safety, and the Chief of Police, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby further authorized to enter into agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, and to make all legitimate expenditures required under the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation outlined in Section 1 of this resolution, including the reimbursement for overtime performed by the South Hills and Mt. Lebanon DUI Task Forces. Said agreement or agreements, contract or contracts, or expenditures shall not exceed Eighteen Thousand Fifty-Three Dollars and Ninety-Six cents ($18,053.96) chargeable to and payable from JDE Job Number 23290...
