TITLE

BODY
Whereas, by Resolution No. 871, effective December 29, 2010, the Council of the City of Pittsburgh authorized a cooperation agreement with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (“URA”) in connection with URA's application with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget (the “Commonwealth”) for a $500,000 Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program ("RACP") grant for the Schenley Place project (the "Project"); and

Whereas, the Commonwealth requires the City of Pittsburgh to agree to reimburse it for any expenditure of RACP funds determined by the Commonwealth to be ineligible; and

Whereas, by Resolution No. 167, effective March 11, 2011, URA was authorized to amend the application to increase the grant by $250,000 to $750,000; and

Whereas, the RACP grant has been increased to $1,750,000.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 871, effective December 29, 2010, which currently reads as follows:

“The Mayor, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is authorized to enter into Cooperation Agreement or Agreements with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, in a form approved by the City Solicitor, in which URA agrees to administer the Project and the City agrees to reimburse the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the Commonwealth's share of any expenditure of RACP funds in the amount of $500,000 $750,000 for the Project found by the Commonwealth to be ineligible.”
