Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Dr. Donna Imhoff for her outstanding achievements in the education field and to CCAC; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, February 12, 2013, to be “Donna Imhoff Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Donna L. Imhoff, PhD who resides in the Westwood, was named President of the Community College of Allegheny County's Allegheny Campus effective January 1, 2013; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Imhoff began her career at CCAC in 1985 as a coordinator/instructor at the CCAC - North Campus and in 2001, she was named an associate professor of psychology and in 2003, professor; in 2005 she became department chair of social and behavioral sciences and education at the South Campus and has been an academic advisor for more than seven years; and,

WHEREAS, in 2008, she was named campus president of the North Campus and the West Hills Center and has served as interim campus president of the Allegheny and Homewood-Brushton Center since 2011; Ms. Imhoff was an AFT Union vice president for eight years during which time she negotiated two union contracts; and,

WHEREAS, she was awarded the 2012 Tribute to Women Leadership Award in Education from the Pittsburgh YWCA and in 2003 awarded the NISOD Excellence in Teaching; she serves as president of the board of directors of Crisis Center North and as a member of the Commission of Economic and Workforce Development of the American Association of Community Colleges and Holy Family Institute Community Services Board and,

WHEREAS, Donna Imhoff has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in rehabilitation education from the Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science in education in school psychology from Duquesne University, a master's certificate in women's studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a doctorate in social and comparative analysis in education from the University of Pittsburgh; and,
