• Title: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend; Ms. Willa Mae Land and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, February 2, 2013 to be "Ms. Willa Mae Land Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Ms. Willa Mae Land was born on February 2, 1913 in Gaffney, South Carolina; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Willa Mae Land moved to Pittsburgh many years ago and began attending Corinthian Baptist Church and then later moved her membership to Union Baptist Church; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Willa Mae Land was affectionately known as Aunt Will. She had passion for children and considered all children her own; and,

WHEREAS, Ms. Willa Mae Land will celebrate her 100^th birthday on February 2, 2013; and,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend; Ms. Willa Mae Land and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Saturday, February 2, 2013 to be "Ms. Willa Mae Land Day" in the City of Pittsburgh.
