Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize the terrific work of I Made It! Market in highlighting and bringing together the City's vibrant creative community; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare February 2, 2013 “Creative Entrepreneur Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, the I Made It! (IMI) Market, which bills itself as a "nomadic indie craft marketplace," hosts pop-up markets in venues across the City, showcasing one-of-a-kind locally sourced handmade products; and
 
WHEREAS, IMI provides the opportunity for regional craftspeople to sell their handmade wares, build their audiences, and establish viable artistic businesses; and
 
WHEREAS, since its founding in 2007, IMI has held more than 40 events, bringing more than 800 artists together with thousands of shoppers; and
 
WHEREAS, IMI, was named "Best Craft Market" by Pittsburgh City Paper and "Most Easygoing Craft Fair" by Pittsburgh Magazine
 
WHEREAS, IMI also partners with a variety of organizations to help fundraise and raise awareness of key causes affecting our community; and
 
WHEREAS, on February 2 at Southside Works, IMI will host the Made It! Mine market, featuring the handmade Valentine's Day crafts of more than 65 regional artists.
