WHEREAS, a person's heritage and neighborhood can become a very important part of who they are, and that life's most valuable of gifts are those that are difficult to calculate in material terms, given discreetly and without thought of reward; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer has persistently been invested in the development and sustainability of Northside public safety initiatives for the past 22 years, including meeting with City of Pittsburgh public safety personnel and residents dedicated to reducing and controlling crime; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer is a 1969 graduate of the former Mt. Assisi Academy in Bellevue and a 1970 graduate of the former Berkeley Business School, Downtown; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer is a 20-year member of the Brighton Heights Citizen Federation, where she has held the position of Crime and Safety Director for the past 18 years, coordinating community block watches throughout her Northside neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer has convened many city-wide public safety meetings that benefit all city residents, she also served a four-year term as President of the Northside Public Safety Council engaging the residents and businesses with the Zone One station toward improving the safety and quality of life throughout Pittsburgh's Northside; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer served as a member of the Pittsburgh Police Civilian Review Board, the State Judicial Commission on Hearings Board, past president of the PA State Catholic War veteran Auxiliary Department, and is in her third term as President of St. Gabriel's Catholic War Vet Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, Donna Kramer has always been at the forefront in speaking and acting on behalf of Northside public safety and quality of life concerns, for the past 15 years, she has directed the Zone One Appreciation Day Luncheon, held each August, honoring the commitment of all public safety personnel who work throughout Zone One; and
