Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend Mr. Jim Joseph for giving back to his community and congratulate him for having the tenacity to be a contestant on the Wheel of Fortune game show; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, January 22, 2013, to be “Jim Joseph Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Jim Joseph is a long time Sheraden resident who graduated from Langley High School in 2008 and recently graduated from Slippery Rock University as a Business Major; and,
 
WHEREAS, Jim began playing soccer at Herschel Field at an early age and played through the age of 18; during High School, he was captain of the soccer team where they went to the city championships for the first time in Langley's history; he was captain of the volleyball team and co-president of National Honor Society; and,
 
WHEREAS, after graduation from Slippery Rock University, he came back to Herschel Field where it all began and volunteered to coach soccer for the 11-12 year olds, recruiting his friends to help; and,
 
WHEREAS, in September, 2012 he was chosen out of approximately 100 others who auditioned to be a contestant on the Wheel of Fortune game where he represented the City of Pittsburgh and spoke very highly of our sports teams, met Vanna White and Pat Sajak in Los Angeles, California and won $900; and,
