Title
Resolution providing for the implementation of the Residential Parking Permit Program (RPPP) Area "EE" in the Point Breeze and Point Breeze North communities (Council District #8 and #9) pursuant to Pittsburgh Code Chapter 549.
Body
WHEREAS, portions of the Point Breeze and Point Breeze North communities (Council District #8 and #9) have petitioned the City in accordance with the established procedures and the City Planning Department has undertaken a parking study which determined that the proposed area is eligible for residential permit parking.
 
WHEREAS, on October 2, 2012 the City Planning Commission voted to positively recommend this resolution.
 
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
 
Section 1.      As provided by the Pittsburgh City Code, Chapter 549, entitled "Residential Parking Permit Program," a parking management plan is adopted as follows:
 
For the Area bounded by:  North Linden Avenue, from McPherson Boulevard to Penn Avenue; Thomas Boulevard, from Fifth Avenue to North Linden Avenue; Fifth Avenue, from Beechwood Boulevard to Penn Avenue; Hastings Street, from Fifth Avenue to Selwyn Street; Elysian Street from Fifth Avenue to Selwyn Street; and Conover Road, from Hastings Street to Juniata Place;
 
that motorized vehicle parking shall be restricted to a two (2) hour time limit between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except where existing parking restrictions may exist and motor vehicles displaying a valid Area "EE" residential permit or visitor's pass; and that residential parking permits be sold only to legal residents or a person who owns or leases commercial property and is actively engaged in a business on property fronting or abutting the above mentioned streets; and that visitor's pass usage shall be limited to no more than three consecutive weekdays a month on the same vehicle.
