Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Grant Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding with Cities of Service, Inc. for the purpose of receiving grant funding in the amount of $100,000 to implement the City's Cool Roofs and Green Up Pittsburgh (Edible Gardens) impact service initiatives and further authorizing the Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and/or the Director of Finance to enter into an agreement or agreements or to use existing agreements for the acquisition of goods and services in connection with the implementation of these service initiatives.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Finance, on behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, is hereby authorized to enter into a Grant Agreement/Memorandum of
Understanding with Cities of Service, Inc. for the purpose of receiving grant funding in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to fund two volunteer-based impact service initiatives: Cool Roofs and Green Up Pittsburgh (Edible Gardens) (the “Initiatives”). Grant monies will be deposited into the following accounts: 0229400093.48311.00.
The Grant Agreement/MOU shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance.
Section 2. The Mayor, the Director of the Department of Public Works, and/or the Director of Finance are hereby further authorized to enter into an Agreement(s) and/or to utilize existing Agreement(s) for the acquisition of goods and/or services required for implementation of the Initiatives as set forth in the Grant Agreement/MOU with Cities of Service and further outlined in Section 1 of this resolution. The expenditures/purchases made under such Agreement(s) shall not exceed Fifty-Six Thousand Dollars ($56,000) for the Cool Roofs Initiative and Forty-Four Thousand Dollars ($44,000) for the Green Up Pittsburgh (Edible Gardens) Initiative.
