Title
Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Public Works to enter into a Cooperation and License Agreement with Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, to assist with the installation of up to four (4) Dek Hockey rinks in City parks.

WHEREAS, Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation ("PPF") and co-sponsor Highmark have generously offered to assist the City with specified costs, materials, and/or volunteers for the installation of up to four (4) Dek Hockey rinks in City parks (collectively the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Cooperation Agreement will address the installation of rinks in Banksville Park and Lewis Park; and
WHEREAS, the parties may amend the Cooperation Agreement in the future to add up to an additional two sites; and
WHEREAS, the parties now wish to set forth their understanding of the duties and responsibilities pertaining to this Project.
Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and the Directors of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Department of Public Works are authorized to enter into a Cooperation and License Agreement with Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation, to assist with the installation of Dek Hockey rinks in Banksville Park and Lewis Park. The Cooperation and License Agreement(s) shall be approved by the City Solicitor as to form and substance. The Cooperation and License Agreement(s) may be amended in the future to include up to two (2) additional sites, subject to prior approval of City Council of such additional site(s).
