Title
Resoluiton authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works and the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an Agreement of Understanding with Riverlife regarding capital improvements/renovations to Allegheny Landing Park.
Body
WHEREAS, the City owns the public park now known as Allegheny Landing Park, which is located along the Allegheny River between the Roberto Clemente (6th Street) and Andy Warhol (7th Street) Bridges in the North Shore neighborhood of Pittsburgh; and

WHEREAS, Riverlife has offered to perform renovations to the Allegheny Landing boat dock (the “Project”), which is also owned by the City and is adjacent to the Park; and

WHEREAS, to facilitate the Project, Riverlife is receiving grant funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fish and Boat Commission (the “Commission”) in the amount of $100,000.00; and

WHEREAS, per Riverlife's Cooperation Agreement for Construction of Facilities for Transient Boats with the Commission, the City is required to accept certain responsibilities with respect to maintenance and operation of the boat dock at the completion of the Project; and

WHEREAS, Riverlife and the City now wish to enter into an Agreement of Understanding to document the City's continuing operating and maintenance of the boat dock at the completion of the Project.

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Works and the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement of Understanding with Riverlife, pursuant to which the City will agree to the following grant conditions imposed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Fish and Boat Commission:
