WHEREAS, on August 23, 2012 The CONSOL Energy Center will feature opening night for the "DREAMWORKS' HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR," a show about a Viking teenager, Hiccup, who doesn't fit in with his tribe's dragon slayers and encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view; and
WHEREAS, 23 dragons with up to 46 foot wingspans traveling at up to 20 miles per hour will be soaring across the CONSOL Energy Center; and
WHEREAS, the 21 actors, 50 model makers, 71 crew members, and hundreds more of their staff participate in making the show truly spectacular.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh acknowledges the show's Pittsburgh premiere and recognizes it will bring entertainment, amazement, and astonishment to its audience and the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby proclaim August 23, 2012 as "DREAMWORKS' HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON LIVE SPECTACULAR" in the City of Pittsburgh.
