Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend founder Susan Gregg Koger and the employees of ModCloth not only for their work inspiring women's fashion, but for their charity to the community; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Monday, August 6, 2012, to be “ModCloth Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, ModCloth was founded by Susan Gregg Koger who has a passion for thrift shopping and vintage style clothing; and,
 
WHEREAS, at seventeen, while attending Carnegie Mellon University, she had a dorm room full of vintage clothing and accessories and began an online shop in 2002 with her now husband, Eric Koger using her cell phone as the customer service line; and,
 
WHEREAS, in 2006, what began as a hobby in college, was turned into a career and is now over 275 employees strong with a vision to change the fashion industry; and,  
 
WHEREAS, ModCloth will be hosting a fundraiser titled "Strut Your Strength" at their warehouse at 2250 Roswell Drive in Fairywood on Saturday, August 25 with a Cocktail Reception at 6:00 PM and Fashion Show following at 7:30 PM; and,    
 
WHEREAS, the fashion show will benefit the Gilda's Club, who creates communities of free support for anyone living with cancer, and will feature Gilda's members as models; and,
