WHEREAS, Celebrate and Share was founded in 2002 by Bonnie DiCarlo and Joann R. Forrester in order to feature the achievements of women and raise funds for organizations which focus on the needs of women and children in the Pittsburgh community; and,
WHEREAS, each year, Celebrate and Share holds a Women of Achievement Awards Dinner in March and a Breakfast in August to honor and recognize women in the region and to support causes important to women; and,
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Bonnie DiCarlo and Joann Forrester will host the 4th Annual Celebrate and Share Breakfast at the Rivers Club downtown which will celebrate the 92nd Anniversary of the Passage of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote; and,
WHEREAS, there will be a special presentation on "What Does the Right To Vote Mean To Me?" featuring a distinguished panel of women who will talk about the importance of voting to them. The panel consists of Georgia Berner, Owner of Berner International, Christy Uffelman, Vice President of Employee and Organization Development, Kelly Enders, Esq. of Caroselli, Beachler, McTiernan and Honboy, Danielle Howard, Marketing and Sales Agent for Grace Robinson Insurance Agency and Cynthia Shapira, Senior Policy Advisor to County Executive Rich Fitzgerald. There will be emphasis on jobs, credit, careers, health care, safety, financial security and property and business ownership; and,

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby commend and congratulate Bonnie DiCarlo and Joann Forrester for their long standing and determined efforts to recognize accomplished women in our region through their Celebrate and Share events and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare Tuesday, August 28, 2012, to be "CELEBRATE AND SHARE 4TH ANNUAL BREAKFAST DAY" in the City of Pittsburgh.
