Title

Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Director of Public Works and/or Director of Parks and Recreation at the request of the citizens of the Arlington Neighborhood, to rename the Arlington Orchard, located at the intersection of Saint Patrick's Street and Arlington Avenue, as "Wayne Lester Memorial Orchard," effective June 19^th, 2012.

Body

WHEREAS, Wayne Lester was a lifelong local fire fighter housed at the Arlington Firehouse #22; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Lester planted an orchard on public land adjacent to the Arlington Firehouse for the enjoyment of residents of the community, and tended to it until his death;

Be it resolved that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor and the Director of Public Works and/or Director of Parks and Recreation are hereby authorized to rename the Arlington Orchard to "Wayne Lester Memorial Orchard" effective June 19^th, 2012.
