Title: NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby recognize Ken Jugan for enriching the City of Pittsburgh and its residents through his on-stage persona in the wrestling ring and his honorable fundraising efforts; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Pittsburgh does hereby declare March 20, 2012 to be “Ken Jugan Day” in the City of Pittsburgh.

WHEREAS, Ken Jugan may be better known as a mysterious rule-breaker and frolicker, a man transformed by ghostly white face paint and fire-red spandex pants into a legend; and    
WHEREAS, Ken Jugan, also known as Lord Zoltan in the wrestling community, is one of the only active links remaining to Pittsburgh's famed Studio Wrestling days, a man both famed and feared in the ring; and
WHEREAS, Jugan has won countless bouts against some of the industry greats, from Tito Santana to Andre the Giant, his title evolving from Zoltan the Great to Lord Zoltan along with his triumphs; and
WHEREAS, Jugan will be inducted into the Keystone State Wrestling Hall of Fame on March 24 in recognition of his contributions to wrestling; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his wrestling career, Jugan and his wife Rosa are parents to two incredible sons, both of whom have attended the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf; and
WHEREAS, Jugan was inspired by his sons to create Deaf Wrestlefest, the premier professional wrestling fundraising event in the Pittsburgh area; and
WHEREAS, Jugan, as a cancer survivor, is a fighter outside of the ring as well, now raising untold sums for cancer research.
