Title

Resolution vacating of a portion of Sheridan Square between Antler Way and Penn Circle South in the 8^th Ward, 9 Council District of the City of Pittsburgh.

Body

WHEREAS, it appears by the petition and affidavit on file in the Office of the City Clerk that the owners of all the property fronting or abutting on the line of Sheridan Square in the 8^th  Ward, 9^th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh, have petitioned the council of the City of Pittsburgh to enact a resolution for the vacation of same, and

WHEREAS, said petition contains inter-alia, an indemnification of the city from any claims and from the payment of any damages whatsoever resulting to any properties owned by the petitioners or by and persons whatsoever, abutting or non-abutting, for or by reason of said vacation; therefore

Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Pittsburgh as follows:

Section 1.

That vacating a portion of Sheridan Square as described:

Being all that certain strip of land situate in the 8th Ward in the City of Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, being the westerly 12.00 feet of Sheridan Square, a 30 foot right of way, being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point at the northwesterly intersection of Penn Circle South (S.R. 0400), a 60 foot right of way, and Sheridan Square, a 30 foot right of way; thence along the westerly line of said Sheridan Square North 26°18'00" East, a distance of 138.90 feet to a point; thence along a curve to the left having a radius of 32.00 feet, an arc distance of 50.34 feet to a point on the southerly line of Antler Way, variable width; thence along said southerly line of Antler Way North 63°49'35" West, a distance of 44.07 feet to a point in the right of way of said Sheridan Square; thence thru said Sheridan Square, parallel and 12.00 feet east of the existing right of way line South 26°18'00" West, a distance of 158.45 feet to a point on said northerly line of

Penn Circle South; thence along said line South 70°00'00" West, a distance of 17.37 feet to the point and place of beginning.

Containing 2,197 square feet or 0.050 acres, more of less.

And also reserving the right of easement of a 15" sewer line and a 8" water line located therein, in the 8^th Ward, 9^th Council District of the City of Pittsburgh as described above shall be and the same is hereby vacated.
